Dr. Andrea Ortiz receives the WWTF Vienna Research Group (VRG) Grant (1.6 Mio) which is linked to a tenure track professorship position at the Institute of Telecommunications at TU Wien starting in 2024. The project’s aim is to establish a new research group on sustainable, scalable and resilient wireless networks.

Tobias Mahn and Anja Klein win the Best Paper Award for their conference paper „A Global Orchestration Matching Framework for Energy-Efficient Multi-Access Edge Computing“ at the IEEE International Conference on Cloud Networking, in November 2021.

Dr.-Ing. Lin Xiang has been appointed as Athene Young Investigator in April 2021. His research project is entitled „Drone-Collaboration for On-Demand Aerial Communication and Computing“. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anja Klein was granted the VDE Honorary Certificate in 2018 for her exceptional engagement within the ITG.
